Cell Sense: Revealing Associations between Our Cells and Our Selves
Telome Health, Inc. is a new biotechnology company based in Menlo Park, CA. We are committed to a deeper understanding of telomere science and how it might promote optimal human health, assess disease risk, and predict drug response. Telome Health was founded by a team of telomere, genomics, and clinical experts whose discoveries established and remain at the forefront of telomere biology, including 2009 Nobel Laureate in Medicine, Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn, and Dr. Calvin Harley, a pioneer in linking telomere biology to aging.
Cell Sense is research study being conducted by Telome Health, Inc., a new company committed to a deeper understanding of telomere science and how it can promote optimal human health. The study seeks to learn more about telomere length, the natural rate of change over time, and how telomere length varies with age and lifestyle.

Who:
We are looking for non-smoking men and women, 20-79 years old, to take part in this year-long study.

What:
We will ask you to complete simple questionnaires, and we will collect small amounts of blood and saliva at baseline, 6 months and 12 months.

Why:
Soon after the 12 month visit, you may choose to get your telomere length as well as find out its rate of change over time. Telomere length is one of the best biomarkers of overall health status. It is a major "integrator" of a broad range of current and lifelong factors that impact health, including genetics, diet, fitness, toxins, and chronic stress.

Where:
Menlo Park will be the main study site. However, we may be setting up locations that are more convenient to you, which you will be told about by our study coordinator or on our website.

This study is no longer enrolling participants. If you would like to be informed of future research opportunities, please complete the form on this page. Thank you.
